The 27th Annual Interventional Cardiology Fellows Course can accommodate a limited number of fellows.
To qualify for one of a limited number of complimentary spots, current fellows in the United States, Canada, and Mexico must complete an application with supporting documentation and submit it to the Cardiovascular Research Foundation, the course sponsor, for consideration. Please see below for qualifying applicant criteria and read the instructions carefully.
Course organizers will review completed applications on a first-come, first-served basis and notify applicants by the dates listed below.
FULL participation in the Fellows Course is required.

We continually take guidance from the state and city of Orlando, as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) and are complying with their health and safety recommendations. As such, our team is working closely with the Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creak to ensure a safe experience for all attendees. CRF requires all participants to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of attendance.
Application Information
- You must meet all the criteria of one of the tier categories listed below. Please read them carefully.
- You must apply as a fellow of the fellowship training program in which you are enrolled at the time of the Fellows Course in May 2022.
- Criteria for consideration are as follow:
- Tier status (see below).
- Date of completed application.
- Space availability.
- You must make a commitment to attend the entire Fellows Course.
Please note: The Fellows Course 2022 application will remain open and CRF will send decisions on a rolling basis until all available spots are filled.
TIER 1:
- Current 1st or 2nd year interventional cardiology fellows.
- Enrolled in U.S. ACGME-accredited programs.
- Have NOT previously attended the CRF Fellows Course.
Initial Application Deadline: Wednesday, February 16, 2022**

TIER 2:
- Current 1st or 2nd year interventional cardiology fellows.
- Enrolled in non-ACGME- accredited programs (U.S., Canada, or Mexico only).
- Have NOT previously attended the CRF Fellows Course.
Initial Application Deadline: Wednesday, February 16, 2022**

TIER 3:
- Current final-year (3rd or 4th year) cardiovascular disease/general cardiology fellows.
- Enrolled in U.S. ACGME fellowship programs.
- Have confirmed acceptance to an interventional cardiology fellowship.
- Have NOT previously attended the CRF Fellows Course.

TIER 4:
- Current final-year (3rd or 4th year) cardiovascular disease/general cardiology fellows.
- Enrolled U.S. ACGME fellowship programs.

** If completed applications are submitted after the stated deadline and space is still available in the course, CRF will review and notify on a first-come, first served basis. Tier criteria and preference will still apply.
After the complimentary registration quota is filled, fellows can attend with a paid registration.
Notifications will be issued by the dates listed above for each tier. Please do not contact CRF prior to the listed notification date, and/or book any travel or hotel prior to receiving notification.
If you do not fall into one of the above categories, including 1st and 2nd year cardiovascular disease fellows, you can register as a paid attendee. Please refer to the registration page for more details.
- Do not book travel or hotel prior to receiving an acceptance, as there are required procedures.
- If you are accepted, your spot in the Fellows Course is not confirmed until your travel and housing arrangements have been made by the deadline stated in your acceptance letter.
- You must attend the entire Fellows Course to be eligible for reimbursement.
Registration Fee: Waived for fellows accepted to attend the course through the application process.
Air Travel: The Cardiovascular Research Foundation will reimburse coach airfare up to US$350 with required documentation.
Arrival and Departure Time: You must arrive in Orlando on Thursday, May 5, by 4:00 PM (ET), and may depart any time after 3:00 PM (ET) on Sunday, May 8.
Lodging:
- Reservation: CRF will book and pay for three nights of housing at the Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek (room and tax only). Do not book the hotel independently.
- Credit Card: You will need to provide a credit card to guarantee your hotel booking.
- Cancellation Charge: If you arrive late, depart early, or do not show without cancelling within 72 hours of your reservation, you may be invoiced for up to a three-night stay.
- Extra Person Charge: The standard room rate is for double occupancy. You are responsible for extra-person charges, if applicable, of $25.00 per occupant, per night, for the third and fourth occupants of a room. A maximum of four people is allowed in a room.
- Hotel Resort Fee: The Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek offers an optional daily hotel resort fee of US$35 per day, per room (inclusive of tax). If you choose to pay this fee, it will be charged to your credit card and is not reimbursable by CRF. See the FAQ below for a list of services included in the resort fee.
These expenses are not reimbursable:
- Ground transportation.
- Meals outside of course functions.
- Guests' travel and/or expenses.
- Hotel resort fee.
- Extra-person charges at the hotel.
- Miscellaneous expenses.
You will receive additional details about expense reimbursement if you are accepted.
- You must email [email protected] immediately with your cancellation request.
- You will not be reimbursed for any expenses — including cancellation fees imposed by reserved transportation and hotel — if you cancel your attendance.
- You must cancel your reservation directly at the Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek (407-597-3600) within 72 hours of your reservation — otherwise you will be invoiced for up to a three-night stay. CRF will not reimburse you for this charge.

- First email will confirm that we received your application and that it is under review.
- Second email will tell you either a) that your application is complete, or b) that you need to send additional information.
- Third email will notify you if you have been accepted to the course or not
No. Do not contact CRF to confirm your documentation has been received. We will contact you if we have not received your documents by the deadline. Be sure to follow the uploading instructions. Do not mail your documents to CRF.

You will receive an acceptance letter via email. This letter will include important information about satellite programs, housing, and travel arrangements. Please note, your spot will not be confirmed for the Fellows Course until your travel and housing arrangements have been made by the deadline stated in your acceptance letter.
No. Do not book any airfare or hotel rooms prior to receiving an acceptance email. You will not be reimbursed unless you use CRF’s specific approved vendors.
- If you are accepted, you will receive via email instructions on how to book your travel and information about reimbursement.
- You must book your air travel through Concur, CRF’s travel vendor. You will need to provide valid credit card information. Concur will charge your card after you and CRF approve the itinerary.
- You must book your travel by the deadline stated in your acceptance email, or your spot in the Fellows Course will be forfeited and given to another qualifying fellow.

The standard room rate is for double occupancy. You are responsible for extra-person charges, if applicable, of $25.00 per occupant, per night, for the third and fourth occupants of a room. A maximum of four people is allowed in a room.
The Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek offers an optional daily hotel resort fee of US$35 per day, per room (inclusive of tax). If you choose to pay this fee, it will be charged to your credit card and is not reimbursable by CRF. If you choose to opt out of the hotel resort fee, you will be charged a la carte prices for the Resort Fee items and services. The fee includes:
- Unlimited access to in-room local and toll-free calls.
- Standard Wi-Fi access throughout the resort and public areas (excluding meeting space).
- Access to the Waldorf Astoria Golf Club practice facility (driving & putting range) with complimentary equipment rentals.
- 10% off spa treatments at the Waldorf Astoria Spa.
- Access to fitness center.
- You must attend the entire Fellows Course to be eligible for reimbursement. You will not be reimbursed if you do not attend all three days or if you miss sessions.
- You will be reimbursed the cost of the airfare up to US$350 after attending the full meeting and submitting an online evaluation and paper reimbursement form.
- Fellows who chose to drive to the Fellows Course will be reimbursed for car mileage.
- CRF does not reimburse ground transportation from the airport or other travel hub.
- Additional travel information travel will be emailed to each accepted fellow.
